YEAR 2019
Supporting 'CHINMAY' with Uniforms and Kitchen Furniture
Global Foundation supported ‘CHINMAY,’ a residential and day-care institute for mentally challenged individuals, dedicated to serving children, women, the elderly, and the physically and mentally handicapped from underprivileged communities.
To provide uniforms for the children, Global Foundation collaborated with Sharda Mahila Vikas Society (SMVS), an NGO in Bharuch, Gujarat, empowering women, youth, and children in rural tribal areas through vocational training in garment making since 2002.
For the ‘CHINMAY’ kitchen, the foundation partnered with Vivekananda Gramin Tekniki Kendra (VGTK), a vocational training center under SEWA Rural, which uplifts tribal families through skill development. VGTK designed and manufactured custom stainless steel dining tables and benches, ensuring durability and functionality.
This initiative reflects Global Foundation’s commitment to enhancing the lives of underserved communities by fostering empowerment and improving essential facilities.
In collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Global Foundation organized a free health camp at Bapa Sitaram Madhuli, Buhari, in the Tapi district of Gujarat. This initiative aimed to support people with disabilities by providing essential assistive devices and medical equipment.
The camp offered a range of devices, including prosthetic limbs, walking sticks, wheelchairs, tricycles, crutches, and hearing aids, customized to recipients’ needs. Additionally, oxygen cylinders were provided to support respiratory care. Attendees were also served a free lunch during the event.
Aligned with Bharat Vikas Parishad’s mission of fostering a strong and inclusive India, this camp reflected Global Foundation’s commitment to community welfare. All expenses for the camp were fully funded by Global Foundation.
